AMC; Senior Technical Advisor- Joel Anderson, Former Chief of Staff; Secretary of Defense-ISR TF, Colonel, US Marine Corps, Retired; BS, Masters in Computer Resource and Information
Joel Anderson is the most recent addition to the AMC team, just recently retiring from the US Marine Corps after 26 years. Mr. Anderson’s last post was as Chief of Staff for the Secretary of Defense for ISR-TF, where he lead a multifaceted team of contractors, government officials and military personnel in the coordination, planning, acquisition and execution of $10B of ISR capabilities, expressly in the area physical and information technology. Prior to that post he served as the Deputy Director for Intelligence Planning for the Under Secretary of Defense and as Program Manager-Intelligence Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command; Quantico, Virginia. Joel brings extensive experience in technical and information systems design, selection and implementation, as well as rounding out our multi-service analytic and delivery capacity.
AMC; Senior Military Affairs Specialist- Gary LaGrange, Colonel, US Army, Retired; BS, MBA, Masters-Contract Law
Gary LaGrange served 28 years in the United States Army before retiring as Garrison Commander for Fort Riley, Kansas. Since retiring Colonel LaGrange has continued to serve the Army and his country in multiple capacities including; Director of Logistics-Fort Riley, where he transitioned a major government contract to NISH management, Colonel LaGrange, during the 2005 BRAC operation, consulted as staff lead for Strategic Performance Management, organizational structure and cost modeling that were utilized to determine optimal end-state structure of the United States Military. At the close of the BRAC proceedings, Gary was then engaged to revamp the strategic plan and performance management systems for National and State operations of the National Guard Bureau, including the implementation of innovative technology solutions that allow oversight and metric evaluation of national activities from the National Guard Headquarters in Washington DC. Subsequent to that Colonel LaGrange was engaged by the Corp of Engineers to help overhaul their logistic systems as well.
AMC; Government Affairs Specialist- John Armbrust, Colonel, US Air Force, Retired; BS, Masters in Systems Analysis and Operational Research
John Armbrust served 23 years in the United States Air Force, serving as the Commander of an Air Force Plant Representative Office associated with the B-1 Bomber program; four years in J-8 on the Joint Staff, serving as the Executive Office to the Director of J-8, as the Chief of the Program and Budget Analysis Division (PBAD) and finally as Controller of the newly formed Air Force consolidated Space Laboratory. Since retiring John has served as Executive Director of the Governor’s Strategic Military Planning Commission, which worked BRAC issues for the State of Kansas and as Executive Director of the Governor’s Military Affairs Council for the State of Kansas. He currently advises the Kansas Governor, via his advisory council on Military issues including but not limited to, budgetary, social and forward planning activities. He is intimately familiar with Department of Contracting policies and issues as they relate to governmental affairs and regularly advises on the impacts of these policies to State and Federal agencies.
AMC; Deputy Chief of Operational Assessment- Lou Bain
Lou Bain, prior to joining AMC at Fort Riley as the Program Director for the First Sergeant’s Barracks Program, was the Director of the Army’s pilot privatization initiative at Fort Lewis, Washington. Additionally, Lou has served as the Housing Program Director at Fort Lewis for 11 years; Housing Director for the 21st TAACOM in Europe, where he managed 11 military communities in 5 countries; Housing Director for the Military District of Washington; Housing Director for Fort Monroe; and was the Policy Branch Chief for the Defense Housing Office. Mr. Bain brings 33 years of military property and asset management experience to AMC. |
